ISBP Translation Guidelines
Please note that unlike the translations of UCP 600, National Committees may produce single-language versions of ISBP.
However, ICC headquarters strongly recommends that all translations be checked
by at least three independent sources. Furthermore, it is advised that NCs cross-check
their translations with other NCs who speak the same language.
ICC Services Publications Department shall require the following acknowledgement to appear on the copyright page:
“This translation of ICC Publication No. 681, International Standard Banking Practice for the Examination of Documents under Documentary Credits – 2007 Revision for UCP 600 , has been made by arrangement with ICC Services Publications Department.”
We also recommend that NCs register their translations with the Copyright Office in their country.
NCs shall pay ICC Services/Publications Department 12 % on all copies sold without any deductions for production costs including translations.
